Ongoing Services of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, Vellore District
In various underserved neighborhoods and villages, there are currently eight Qur'an and Islamic Teaching Centres (7 Makatib for boys and 1 Niswan for girls) providing valuable religious education and training to children. With a total of 320 students, these institutions play a crucial role in nurturing young minds. Additionally, there is a growing demand for more such Quran Teaching Centres in other neighborhoods and villages, highlighting the positive impact and enthusiasm for Qur'an and Islamic learning opportunities in the community. We are in the effort to fulfill the demand.
While 20 deserving widows are currently receiving a monthly ration kit valued at Rs. 1200/- with joy, there are even more widows in need eagerly awaiting assistance.
More than 700 ration and fitra kits were gratefully distributed to the underprivileged and deprived in the city and nearby areas during Ramadan in 2023. These significant services have been operating steadily for several years. Our current initiatives are intended to increase the number of kits to 2,000 during the Ramadan of 2024.
Regular medical assistance is extended to deserving patients by supplying necessary medications through funding.
Assistance has been extended to facilitate the marriages of 10 young women hailing from economically disadvantaged families, ensuring support is provided based on their specific needs.
One of our services is actively organizing weekly Quran lessons and religious gatherings in various mosques, spreading positivity and spiritual enrichment.
Exciting events are arranged to explore the Prophet's Biography and the positive reforms he brought to society.
Scholarships for education are extended to students in schools and colleges facing financial challenges, offering a positive opportunity for their academic advancement.
